Marcus Higgins, DMD
As a dentist, it is a privilege to be able to make a real difference for others. Serving my community is an honor, and I enjoy working in the Jacksonville area, each and every day, alongside my wonderful team.
I have been practicing dentistry for more than 15 years. I initially chose the oral healthcare field because of the importance of the mouth, dentition, and surrounding structure in every part of a person’s life. In turn, I am most passionate about the restoration aspect of dentistry.
Whether restoring a single tooth or multiple severely damaged teeth, returning them to an ideal condition can be a life-changing experience for my patients. I am able to give people the ability to eat and enjoy the foods they love, to chew properly and comfortably, and receive a stable, becoming smile they share with confidence.
Truly, I cannot imagine a more fulfilling way to spend my days!
Our Team and Practice
Our team is super exceptional. We are all very relaxed, comfortable with our personal lives and careers, and know what we do makes a positive difference for our patients. We have an exceptional ability to communicate with people of all ages and all walks of life, and make each one feel safe, heard, and part of our family.
Since completing dental school I have sought-out a range of continuing education (CE) opportunities. This keeps me abreast of all the latest techniques, technologies, and products that improve the practice of dentistry. Maintaining this high level of CE ensures I am able to take part in delivering a superior patient experience, at every visit.
I am an active member of the American Dental Association and Florida Dental Association. These organizations provide access to a variety of CE, including lectures, seminars, and meetings. They also publish the latest research discussions and findings, so I’m constantly learning, strengthening my skills, and developing new ones.
Beyond the Practice
I grew up in Louisiana, and have lived in Florida since 2003. I have been in the Jacksonville area for more than a decade. Linda, my wife, is a dentist as well. I have two sons, Hartley and Holden.
Outside the office, my favorite times are spent with my family. I also have a passion for travel, physical fitness, nutrition, and mixed martial arts.
